Contact Group is passionate about giving back to the Tasmanian community and supporting local sporting clubs, charities and community organisations.

In 2025 we’ve supported a number of young Tasmanians in team and individual sport, including Jenna Otley from the HIIT Launceston Hawks Netball Club, mountain biker Tyler Medwin who travelled to Europe in June to compete in the iXS European Downhill Cup, and Mahli Bird who represented Tasmania in the Australian Football 15 Years and Under Championships in Queensland in July.

Contact Group’s Managing Director, Wade Fromberg, was also pleased to attend a uniform presentation for the BGH Breakers in July. The Breakers are a community led club based in three of the most disadvantaged suburbs of Hobart; Bridgewater, Gagebrook and Herdsmans Cove.

The club was founded by former AFL Tasmania CEO, Scott Wade, and a group of like-minded individuals who were concerned young people in this local government area were missing out on the opportunity to play team sport, and their health and well-being was suffering as a result.

The club’s vision is to provide opportunities for the residents of Bridgewater, Gagebrook and Herdmans Cove to represent their community in organised competition sport – recognising the importance of sport as a vehicle to bring people together.

Contact Group has been sponsoring the club since they launched their first netball team in 2022.

This year they’re fielding three netball teams and plan to expand to other sporting codes next year.

Wade and Annah Fromberg were thrilled to present to U11 teams with new uniforms, designed by the players, featuring the Contact Group logo.

As well as supporting young athletes and sports teams, Contact Group supports local charities with donations and by allowing staff to volunteer in work hours.

In June four staff members helped the S.H.E Gynaecological Cancer Group put together 80 care packs for women recently diagnosed with the cancer.

Staff also recently packed food hampers and hygiene packs at Foodbank Tasmania, which helps around 21-thousand people a month by providing groceries and hampers to 222 frontline charities and schools.
