In January 2025 our Launceston technicians completed a $2 million contract at the new Legana Primary School in northern Tasmania.
The school which opened to students in February, can accommodate 350 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Contact Group was contracted by VOS to carry out the general electrical installation, as well as the fire, security, comms and audio-visual installation.
This brand-new school consists of six buildings, which are centered around a courtyard and large multipurpose room.
Project Manager Michael Partridge said the team led by site foreman, Scott Fenton, did an amazing job, also completing a dental surgery on the school site.
“I came into this job about halfway through, but the rest of the team was there for the majority of the contract, from laying the conduit in the ground to fitting off the lights.
I think they really enjoyed seeing the job through from start to finish, especially the two apprentices, who learnt a lot,” Michael said.
