In December 2023, Contact Group’s maintenance division in Hobart was awarded the City of Hobart Plumbing Maintenance Contract.
This two-year contract has the potential to be extended to four years and resulted in us hiring more full-time employees to expand our plumbing portfolio.
Contact Group’s State Service Manager, Dean Medwin, said it was an exciting contract for us to win, comprising 29 different sites around Hobart, with infrastructure needing to be maintained everywhere from Salamanca Place to the top of kunanyi/Mount Wellington.
“Our staff have really hit the ground running and have been kept busy over the festive and summer season,” he said.
“With the influx in tourists, its imperative sites are maintained to the highest standard,” Mr Medwin said.
Contact Group’s Managing Director, Wade Fromberg, said that it’s a great opportunity for Contact Group to seriously enter the plumbing maintenance space and compliments the plumbing maintenance work we’re already doing for other large clients such as Mission Australia and TasNetworks.
In August 2024 Contact Group also successfully retendered the City of Hobart Fire and Electrical Maintenance Contract.
