Last week the Contact Group received major recognition from one of its most valued clients - the Federal Group. Contact's Company Directors, Bill and Trish Fromberg, along with Launceston Manager, Rob Young, were presented with the Services Supplier of the Year Award for 2016, at the Federal Group's annual awards night at the Country Club Casino.
The Contact Group has been a long-time supplier of Federal, working on several key projects over the past decade, including the highly acclaimed Saffire Resort at Freycinet. Most recently, the Contact Group has completed a major data cabling upgrade at the Country Club and Wrest Point Hotel Casinos. "Project Unite" involved the rollout of new fibre optic cable in all of the gaming areas throughout both Casinos, as well as several switchboard upgrades.
A data project of this size hasn’t been undertaken at the Casinos for about 20 years and was a major feat for the Contact Group to complete. Hundreds of hours of work were carried out, to install over 100-thousand metres of cable, all while the gaming areas continued to operate. The project involved early starts and overnight work to ensure minimal disruption. All deadlines were met and the project was a huge success.
Contact Group's Launceston Manager, Rob Young, said the feedback he received at the awards night was very positive, with many Federal representatives commenting that “Contact staff were a pleasure to deal with.” The Contact Group would like to say a big thanks to all involved in "Project Unite" and those supplying services to the Federal Group on all of their sites. Keep up the good work!
