Peacock Centre – North Hobart
In March 2023 Contact Group completed an exciting HVAC project at the new Peacock Centre in North Hobart.
The redeveloped mental health facility includes a 12-bed short stay unit, providing treatment in a homelike environment for people who do not require admission to hospital.
Heating and Cooling Systems
Contact Group was proud to be a part of this important project, installing a state-of-the-art hydronic heating system which is controlled via an Innotech DDC (Direct Digital Controller) which controls all the heating and cooling systems.
This highly efficient Mitsubishi system works by circulating heated water throughout the building via a sealed pipe network.
The heat in the pipes then radiates into the rooms through wall mounted radiators and underfloor heating systems.
The bedrooms and living areas also have air-conditioning units which operate in both heating and cooling modes to keep the spaces at comfortable temperatures.
