Contact Group Continues to Grow and Diversify
Contact Group is proud to announce its recent acquisition of Masters Contracting. A few months ago the former owners made the decision to retire and Contact Group was excited to be chosen as the preferred purchaser. Contact took over operational management in April, welcoming 15 Masters staff to our team; including refrigeration techs, HVAC techs, electricians, gas fitters, water and sanitary plumbers, and welders.
They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Contact Group, with Masters Contracting having worked on several major projects in southern Tasmania, including the new University of Tasmania student accommodation buildings, the Oakdale Industries workshop and the Nyrstar laboratory upgrade. The staff specialise in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, computer room air conditioning, fume cupboard systems, mechanical gas systems and testing, LPG systems, refrigerated cool and freezer rooms, vacuum systems, oxy and acetylene reticulation systems, electrical, pneumatic and energy management control systems, balancing & commissioning, fume cupboard testing and compliance reporting, and generator and UPS maintenance.
This acquisition builds upon Contact Group’s 2016 purchase of White and McAllister (Contractor) Pty Ltd, which saw the company diversify into the HVAC field. This latest acquisition will solidify Contact Group as a major player in the HVAC services arena. Contact Group Managing Director, Wade Fromberg, said the acquisition of Masters Contracting was an exciting step forward for Contact.
“Masters Contracting has a great reputation in the industry and we see this as an excellent opportunity to continue to grow the HVAC and mechanical services side of the company.”Wade Fromberg | Managing Director
Contact General Manager, Dion Frame, said Contact was excited to have the experienced Masters staff onboard.
“They are integral to the future growth of the company, and we look forward to taking on more HVAC projects in 2022.”Dion Frame | General Manager
Contact Group now employs 170 staff at its three branches in Burnie, Launceston and Hobart.
