Contact Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of a highly successful refrigeration and air conditioning business in north-west Tasmania, Commercial & Rural Refrigeration.
Contact Group took over the company at the start of this month, purchasing all the assets and welcoming aboard all of Commercial and Rural Refrigeration’s 12 staff.
This is an extremely exciting development for Contact Group, and we want to extend a very warm welcome to Bruce Faulkner and his experienced team.
Commercial and Rural Refrigeration has been operating on the north-west coast for more than 30 years.
The business was founded in 1985 and was taken over by Bruce Faulkner in 1989.
Based in Burnie, Commercial and Rural Refrigeration, services a wide range of commercial and domestic customers, supplying, installing and servicing everything from heat pumps to cool and freezer rooms.
With vast experience in the industry, Commercial and Rural Refrigeration, is a supplier of several major brands in air conditioning including, Daikin, Fujitsu and Haier and is the sole north-west distributor for the Sanden heat pump hot water system.
Contact Group’s Managing Director, Wade Fromberg, said the acquisition was another exciting step forward for Contact.

Mr Fromberg said Bruce Faulkner would continue in his existing role, and Contact Group would look forward to him sharing his experience with the company’s other two branches.
Contact Group’s General Manager, Dion Frame, said the purchase of Commercial and Rural Refrigeration builds upon similar acquisitions in southern Tasmania in recent years.

“This latest acquisition allows us to continue to grow Contact’s Mechanical Services Division and will enable us to expand our presence on the north-west and west coasts of Tasmania,” he said.
Contact Group now employs 194 people throughout Tasmania.
