Contact Group has a long history of accomplishments and recognition. As current NECA members we actively participate in the NECA awards which are seen as the pinnacle for recognition in the electrical industry.

A selection of our best awards are listed below:

State Winner – Work Health & Safety Best Practice – 2020/21

Contact Group was awarded State Winner for the 2020/21 NECA Excellence awards in the Work Health & Safety Best Practice category.

Having our system recognised in this way is an honour and a testament to Contact Group’s dedication to the health and well-being of our staff.

State Winner – Small Industrial Project – 2020/21

Hydro Cethana Power Station Transformer Vortex Suppression

Contact were engaged to design and construct a fire electrical protection control system that uses Vortex products.

Cape Barren Island Solar Installation Tasmania

State Winner – Energy Efficiency & Environment – 2020/21

Cape Barren Island Power Generation Project

The Cape Barren Island Project works involved modifying and expanding on the Island’s existing solar power system, with additional upgrades to the battery system, as well as new standby diesel generators.

NECA Award for North West Regional Hospital Project

Best Medium Commercial Project – 2016

North West Regional Hospital Redevelopment

Works included MRI installation, LED visual therapy ceiling, sub-mains cabling, generator, nurse call, lights and data.


Best Large Industrial Project – 2014

Lion Nathan Cheese Factory

Works included general light, power, control systems, exit & emergency lighting, 3-phase power, switchboards and sub-mains cabling.

Best Domestic Project – 2013

Simmons Court, Hobart

Works included power, lighting, air-conditioning, under floor heating, data, phone, audio – all linked into an easy to use C-Bus system.

Best Voice & Data Project – 2013

Hydro Tas, King Island

Works included Smart Grid installation. The first installation of it’s kind in the world.


Best Industrial Small Project – 2013

Glenorchy City Council 

Works included supply, msb, power, lighting, generators and co-generation.
